reTerminal E Series ePaper Display Overview

Introduction

The reTerminal E Series ePaper Display represents Seeed Studio's family of ePaper display terminals designed for low-power information display applications. These devices combine the power efficiency of ePaper technology with wireless connectivity to create versatile displays for smart homes, retail environments, office spaces, and more.

Unlike traditional displays that consume power continuously, the reTerminal E Series ePaper Display only uses power when changing content, making them ideal for applications requiring extended battery life and always-on information display.

The reTerminal E1001 features a 7.5-inch monochrome ePaper display with 4-level grayscale capability. With its 800×480 resolution, it delivers crisp text and clear images while consuming minimal power. The monochrome display is perfect for applications where text legibility and battery life are priorities.

The reTerminal E1002 features a vibrant 7.3-inch full-color ePaper display with ACeP (Advanced Color ePaper) technology. This color display offers the same power efficiency benefits of ePaper technology while allowing for more visually engaging content with multiple colors, making it ideal for applications where visual distinction and aesthetic appeal are important.

reTerminal E1003



reTerminal E1003 is a 10.3-inch open-source monochrome ePaper display featuring 16 levels of grayscale and a high resolution of 1404×1872 pixels, with up to 6-month battery life. Touch interaction is currently supported on SenseCraft HMI firmware v1.1.2. Powered by ESP32-S3, it natively supports SenseCraft HMI no-code UI design, while Arduino and PlatformIO are available for further development.

The touch-related library is planned for future open-source release, providing greater flexibility to customize panels. More updates will be shared soon. ESPHome driver support for E1003 is also planned for a future release.

The reTerminal E1004 features a 13.3-inch full-color ePaper display and up to 6-month battery life. Powered by ESP32-S3, it supports SenseCraft HMI for no-code dashboard creation and image uploading, while also supporting Home Assistant, Arduino, and ESP-IDF for advanced development workflows.

SenseCraft HMI Platform


All reTerminal E Series ePaper Display devices are designed to work with the SenseCraft HMI platform, providing an intuitive web interface for creating and deploying content to your devices. Key features include:

Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

(1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and

(2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. This transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.

Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy, and if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. – Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. This device complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This device should be installed and operated with minimum distance 20cm between the radiator & your body.
