What is Home Assistant?
Home Assistant is a free and open-source software that serves as a central control system for home automation, acting as a smart home hub. It provides the convenience of home automation without relying on remote servers or an internet connection, making it highly secure and reliable. It can be expanded by Home Assistant Cloud where you can ontrol your Home Assistant from anywhere, with voice assistants, fully encrypted.
- With Home Assistant, you have local control over your smart home devices, ensuring better security and eliminating the need for constant internet connectivity. This local control also guarantees the system's reliability, allowing it to operate seamlessly 24/7.
- With Home Assistant Cloud, while keeping your data fully encrypted between the devices and the Home Assistant instance, you can quickly access your Home Assistant instance from your phone, your favorite coffeeshop or at work. More importantly, you can control your Home with your voice using Assist, which also supports Amazon Echo or Google Home.
